Baby Wanted BWWM Interracial Romance A Bundle of Joy Book 1 edition by Roxy Wilson Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Loved this story. I always appreciate a relationship between man and woman when they started from friendship. That shows an investment in each other that supersedes the physical. This is why when tragedy insinuates itself in this relationship, they were able to feel for each other and step a away from their personal pain.
Yes, I enjoyed this short but sweet love story. READ IT!
I confess I love the whole "BFF deciding to become parents" concept and Roxy has pulled it off beautifully. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and hope she plans to do more. Sean and Heather were wonderful together and I loved the trust they had in one another in making the decision to become parents despite the tragedy they suffered things turned out great for them both. Thanks Roxie for a wonderful story.
I cannot wait for the next installments in this series. When I first read the blurb I thought the story was going to be a bit clichéd. After reading the story I was so wrong. Ms. Wilson touched on so many different issues. From surrogacy, to miscarriage, to sex during pregnancy, to interracial dating and more. The one part of the story that most touched me was how Ms. Wilson dealt with friendships. How she gave each main character at least one friend, other than each other, that they could count on unconditionally. That is a rare occurrence in today's society and it was refreshing to see.
I wish I could say you were not going to fall in love with Sean, but you truly are. Sean is the best friend to Heather, and she wants a baby. How could he say 'no'? He has been in love with her from the beginning but is playing it cool so he doesn't lose the friendship. When Heather ask him to be the 'baby daddy,' he sees a perfect opportunity to show her how he really feels. Perfect Right? Wrong! Read this book because you believe in Love and the trails it takes to find it. Read this book because family can be found right before your eyes.
Great Job Roxy!
Baby Wanted is the first book I read by Roxy Wilson and it wont be my last. I was searching though 's IR/MC section and I came across this book. The cover and the excerpt grabbed my attention. I loved Heather and Sean's story how two best friends who wanted different things in life. Wanted it with each other. Heather wanted a baby and was willing to be a single parent, Sean was in love with his best friend and agreed to her suggestion that they have a baby together only if she married him and stayed married for a year. I loved how Roxy writing style showed how they feel in love despite themselves. She made me a fan of her books and I will buy more. I am waiting for the next two books in the series to come out.
3.75 stars. I enjoy most friends to lovers stories , this one was no exception. This short, sweet and lovely story is about two people who have been friends since their high school days, Sean Johnson and Heather Lovely. Now in their mid thirties, Heather has decided her bio-clock is nearing a time when she will not be able to become pregnant. She convinces Sean to father a child with her, Sean agrees with the stipulation that they marry. Sean has always loved her and by the time she looses the first child she realizes she loves him too. They remain married have twins and live HEA with friends and family.j
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Heather wanted a baby and she went to her best friend for help. Sean and Heather started out as best friends but friendship grew into something more. Heather was always special to Sean he didn't want to ruin their friendship by telling her that he was in love with her, that he wanted more, than a friendship. Sean was truly afraid that if he told her how he felt she would walk away and this would eliminate his chances of ever letting her know how he really felt about her. After finally realizing what Sean really meant to her she gave into her feelings and gave all up pretenses. Sean was what she had been looking for a friend and the love of her life he made her whole.
I'm giving this story 4-1/2 stars only because I wanted more and am looking forward to reading the next book in this series -)
